The motorway network of Israel is in really good condition. Driving from Tel Aviv-Yafo to Jerusalem needs 45 minutes from city center to city center. All road signs are in Hebrew, Arabic and English and there is only one toll road: number 6 leading along the Westbank from south to north. My car was registred for this service, I could simply drive through and was billed afterwards.
Driving in Israel is really uncomplicated and you only have to comply with the speed limit of 50 (in towns), 90 (outside towns) and 110 (on motorways). As a navigation system I received an iPad mini with Google Maps – in earlier days you got a normal GPS where you had to enter your destinations in Hebrew. Or have someone enter them, better said.
When you want to park your car on the streets you have to observe the colors of the curbstones: red and white means no parking, blue and yellow means parking for busses; blue and white gives you the right to park, if you acquire a parking ticket.
