Sylt is the biggest island in Northern Frisia. It is located in Germany, close to the border to Denmark and can be reached by train and by car using a train-based shuttle to the island. Sylt has a very beautiful landscape but I don’t like it too much because it is the German island of the rich.
Prices are sometimes ridiculously high here and it is almost impossible for locals to have a flat here. When being close-by for a New Year’s Eve vacation we travelled to the island and had a stop at List, Germany to walk around and have some fresh fish. Nice for a day visit, but I wouldn’t get here for a week.
