I went to Noordwijkerhout, The Netherlands to present a scientific poster about a project at a conference held in no-man’s-land. A good location to concentrate on science – a bad one for additional exploration tours. But in fact there was a bus route from Amsterdam to Den Haag crossing this place and I tried different stops.
I visited the famous Keukenhof close-by, went to Madurodam, Mauritshuis and Scheveningen beach in Den Haag. I stopped at the wonderful towns of Leiden and Haarlem and finally made a short visit to Amsterdam itself. It’s always a pleasure to be at the Netherlands and even if it was only short and I was staying in a hotel surrounded by empty tulip fields – it was quite fun.
