The miniature world Madurodam is one of the most famous sights in Den Haag, The Netherlands. Behind a dam you can find 300 miniature representations of well-known buildings from The Netherlands. The area is 18000 m2 large and was opened in 1952 to honor George Maduro who died in the concentration camp of Dachau, Germany.
It’s really nice to walk trough this park and enjoy the buildings in scale 1:25 and the trains and ships moving. The buildings include the Rijksmuseum, the port of Rotterdam and the airport Schiphol.
