In a crowded city like Tōkyō, Japan the transportation plays an important role. Road construction works or interruptations in public transport could cause major problems – and are therefore often carried out at night and in high speed – something Europe can really learn from.
To secure the workers huge blown up and enlightened imitations of workers are used. Everybody can see the construction site from far away. Actually this is kind of childish but totally accepted – I also saw barriers around such places consisting of plastic frogs. And I must admit, I like it!
