Walking through Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic you will see two rivers: the Teplá and the Ohře. I was at first a bit confused because I expected only river – but in fact the river Teplá runs in to the Ohře somewhere close to the city center.
The Teplá is the small flow that you will see in the city center with the hot springs. It starts in the mountains close to the city also named Teplá. The Ohře (German: “Eger“) comesfrom the Fichtelgebirge runs three the Czech Republic and flows into river Elbe at the border to Germany near Litoměřice. Especially beautiful is the Ohře when running around Loket.
