The Iberostar Group operates different hotels on the island of Mallorca belonging to the Baleares, Spain. The Albufera Park and Albufera Playa are two of them named after the natural reserve close-by and are fully connected.
We stayed in an apartment at the Albufera Park with a fully-equipped kitchen. One we didn’t use to much as we booked the all-inclusive option. The hotel has different buffet restaurants, bars and snack bars. Having a buffet restaurant was great for our smallest one as selecting food was really easy.
During our stay there were mostly families with small children – and the staff is well-prepared for that situation. Them making fun with the children was a big contribution to the atmosphere. In addition there were five pools and an indoor pool, two playgrounds and child entertainment. The beach is only 30 meters away.
They inflated a bouncy castle and every evening there were shows and children’s disco. Something we didn’t expect that our smallest traveler would have fun with – but they did a great job and you could see that there is massive experience behind.
The drawback for me was that the hotel is far away from a real city. South of Alcúdia hotels line up along the beach all connected by a road and with different shops attached. But for that reason we had a rental car and could get to more interesting places every day.
We were all sorry when we had to leave. The Albufera Park backed by the children’s program of Iberostar was great for a family vacation – and I guess we will have to get back in the near future.
