When there is an important fair at the Messe Essen, hotel prices rise heavily and even shabby rooms are booked pretty fast. While attending the energy fair E-World, some colleagues already had to stay in Gelsenkirchen or Mülheim an der Ruhr.
The best place I stayed at is the Art Hotel Körschen located a small walk away from the main railway station of Essen, Germany. Especially the newer section of the hotel is in good condition and in every room you’ll find a very special first aid kit. 😉
