You cannot omit seeing the cultural palace (Palac Kultury i Nauki) when leaving the main railway station of Warszawa, Poland. It is a very high tower in socialistic style and quite frightening. It has been built in 1952 and it is 237 meters high – the highest building in Poland.
The building was a present from the Sowjet union and contains 42 floors. On the 30th floor there is a viewing terrace and a restaurant; within the building there are also cinemas and theatres.
