Olympic games belong to Greece, for sure. The last ones held in Αθήνα, Greece were in 2004. You can find two important stadiums for the Olympic games in the city: the modern Spyros Louis for the last games and the old Panathinaiko stadium (“Kallimarmaro“) for the games in 1896.
I took a look at the old one that doesn’t look like modern stadiums. It was built on the ruins of a more ancient stadium and is open on one side. It could be used by 50000 spectators. Later concerts by artists like Bob Dylan or Depeche Mode took place here.
