I’ve been to Paris, France several times as a child, assisting my parents as a translator with my limited knowledge of French. But there were different things I didn’t know by then and I never visited the bunch of art museums within the city. That is why I booked a hotel in Montmartre and returned for a marathon.
I started with the Louvre and its vast collections, discovered the Musée Rodin and its nice park and visited Monets Nymphéas in the Musée de l’Orangerie. I want to the famous Boulevard Saint-German and made a stop at the Café de Flore.
After taking a look at the Panthéon I went to the Musée Marmottan Monet I didn’t know before and was surprised to see the masterpieces, including impression soleil levant in the cellar. I was walking around for kilometers and relaxed at the Jardin des Plantes de Paris.
The tour did also include the wonderful Place des Vosges, the Hôtel de Ville, and everything around Montmartre – also the Moulin Rouge. A tough trip but now I had all those important places in mind and took endless memories with me.
