It is just a town hall, but a special one: the Wiener Rathaus has been built from 1872 on in neogothic style. It’s a fantastic building with a 98 meters high tower. It serves the normal purpose as a town hall but in winter times a vast ice skating area is opened in front.
It is in fact the biggest one I ever saw. You can not only go in circles but also take special tracks leading around trees and over the whole place. Within the Rathaus we had the festive dinner for the scientific business information systems conference – a unique atmosphere.
