Kolsai

The two Kolsai lakes near Саты offer a truly spectacular retreat for nature lovers and adventurers. The hiking route, moderately challenging yet rewarding, winds about 8 km through pristine valleys and forests alive with bird calls. Reaching Kolsai-2 at an altitude of about 2,250 meters feels like stepping into a hidden world. Its deeper blue waters, surrounded by steep mountain ridges and thick forests, create a dramatic panorama and a sense of absolute seclusion. If you time your hike right, you may encounter local horse riders or shepherds, adding a touch of authentic Kazakh culture to your journey.
