Visitors to the Alexandria Dune Field should book a guided tour as the dunes are not directly accessible by car or on foot. Best option if you just want to enjoy the ocean and nice views of the dunes is the Pearson Park Resort accessible from road 2. You’ll have to pay a fee of 100 Rand and can then follow the Sundays River to its river mouth. There are different parking and BBQ areas and walking through the sand dunes on the other side of the river is also a nice experience.
