Addo

Addo Elephant Park is one of South Africa’s most renowned wildlife conservation areas, famous for its large population of African elephants. The park, which spans over 1,640 square kilometers, offers a unique opportunity to observe these majestic creatures in their natural habitat, with over 600 elephants calling the park home. Aside from elephants, Addo is a haven for a wide variety of other wildlife, including the Big Five (elephants, lions, leopards, buffaloes, and rhinos).

Visitors can also spot zebras, antelope, warthogs, and giraffes, as well as an impressive array of bird species, such as raptors and waterfowl. The park’s diverse ecosystems, ranging from woodlands to coastal dunes, provide a rich environment for a range of animals to thrive. With guided safaris and self-drive routes available, Addo Elephant Park offers an unforgettable wildlife experience for nature enthusiasts and photographers alike. All activities start at the main camp (with a restaurant and shop), but there are also wonderful places to stay overnight distributed throughout the park. Addo has two entrance gates and multiple loops for a self-drive game safari.
