The international airport of თბილისი (TBS) is also the largest airport of Georgia. It has two runways and two terminals; it serves more than three million passengers every year. German passengers will see this airport only at night: Lufthansa lands here always at 4 am to be able to start again at 5 am and be back in central Europe for normal flight times after 9 am. That feels a bit odd, but the airport is fully operational at night.

At the terminal you can exchange and withdraw money (even at night). The airport is currently connected to the city by taxi and bus. Taxi prices need to be negotiated in advance, booking via the Bolt app is also possible. For transfers at night I preferred pre-arranged shuttles booked with my local travel agency (Gamarjoba). A ride to downtown თბილისი takes around 30 minutes, the public bus starting in front of the terminal needs around an hour.

The bus does stop frequently but takes a good route through the city center so that the probability is high that it stops somewhere close to your hotel. Its main feature: it is incredibly cheap. Just get a Metromoney card from one of the vending machines, put some Lari on the card and validate when entering the bus. Using the TBS international airport is a hassle-free procedure, security queues a short and you will probably spend most time waiting in passport control.
