During the last years I’ve not visited Potis that often, because it is quite remote for people used to the short distances in Göttingen – but I recently found out that this was a wrong decision. You can find the Greek restaurant at the upper part of Kreuzbergring in the east of Göttingen.
It’s 2 km away from the city center in a residential area, close to the youth hostel and the university sport area. And it is even worth a walk up the hills: the gyros is simply fantastic and the beergarden is the right recreation space while it is hot outside.
UPDATE: Unfortunately, this iconic restaurant has closed permanently in 2022 and the building is about to be demolished. If you’re in need of good Greek food, please look out for the Hellas.
