San Antonio, Chile is a small town and harbour on the same latitude as Santiago de Chile. Tourists most often pass it because they are going from Santiago to Valparaíso and Viña del Mar and then continue to the south. It is not the nicest city around but it is maybe a good stop on your way.
Directly at the shore you’ll find the Mall Arauco which includes a good car park and a food court (also with “traditional” German food). And on the reverse side you can walk along the harbour, watch the fishermen and if you wonder about the big stones that are sometimes moving slowly: take a look at the sea lions that are sitting there hoping to get some fish.
