Normally stair cases are not worth a visit but the Scala della Ragione in Verona, Italy is a special case. It belongs to the Palazzo della Ragione in the center of the city and is built from red Venetian marble. It connects the old market with the upper level of the palace.
It dates back to the year 1446 and was repaired last in 1894. The beautiful marble creates a special atmosphere. In winter times you will find a nice small Christmas market close-by.
