The Acropolis in Αθήνα, Greece is a fortress on a 156 meters high rock near the city center. It was built from 467 BCE on and contains the Propylaea, Erechtheion, Partenon and the temple of Nike. It is a UNESCO world heritage site since 1986.
You can access the Acropolis on the reverse side when coming from the city center. On that side there is also the new Acropolis museum with a stunning architecture mirroring the real Acropolis. Many original items from the Acropolis can be found at the British Museum in London, United Kingdom.
