The Galeries Lafayette is an important French chain of shopping malls with the “flagship” store located in Paris, France. It is worth a visit because of its art noveau architecture and nice views on the city center.
The history of the shop goes back to 1893 with a small location in the rue La Fayette. The shop was named after this street and relocated to its current position in 1906. The second important French store is Printemps just around the corner.
