The Foro di Traiano in Roma, Italy is the last and biggest forum of an emporer of Roma. It was built in 143 CE in the center of the city and is good preserved. There was an triumphal arc at the entrance and a big market. Still visible from far away is the Colonna di Traiano.
Surprisingly there hasn’t been many archaeological work in this area: the forum is today five meters under the current city level and most artifacts have been destroyed during the construction works of attached buildings. And: some interesting areas are blocked by Mussolinis vast Via dei Fori Imperiali.
