When I was young I was voluntarily working for nearly ten years for the youth organization of the German Socialdemocratic Party (SPD) – the Jusos. As they are a member of the International Union of Socialist Youth (IUSY) we went to the annual festival held this time in Malmö, Sweden.
A bus chartered by a friends from Braunschweig, Germany – already filled with lots of beer – caught as up in Hannover and we drove to Sweden. We were living in tents at a camping site close to the sea and had many political discussions in a truly international atmosphere. Something I can really recommend for every politically interested.
