The history museum of Bern resides in an impressive building created until 1984 in historicism style. It exhibits collections about the early history of the region and spectacular findings over the centuries (like the statues hidden in the iconoclasm of 1528). This includes archaeology and ethnography, but also numismatics.
Even if these are topics that don’t interest you too much you should have a look inside, not online because of the fantastic building: The Berner Historisches Museum organizes many amazing changing exhibitions throughout the year, and it also encompasses the Einstein-Museum devoted to famous genius Albert Einstein. It is the best place to learn more about his life and brilliantly made.
